Present + Calm

As a birth and newborn photographer, I believe in being fully present with every family I serve. Whether I’m documenting the quiet anticipation of pregnancy, the raw strength of labor and delivery, or the tender first moments with your newborn, my approach is grounded in calm, steady support. I bring a gentle, reassuring energy into your space, allowing you to focus on your experience while I preserve your story with care, respect, and intention.

Intentional + Mindful

I approach every session with mindfulness and intentionality. From preparing for your unique birth space to thoughtfully shaping each moment with your newborn, I take the time to understand your vision and honor your story. Every detail is planned with care so your experience feels safe, supported, meaningful, and true to you.

Gentle + Playful

It’s easy to get caught in the stress of preparing for the arrival of your newest family member. As your photographer, I bring a gentle and playful energy to our shared space. Whether I’m capturing the anticipation that pregnancy brings, the raw emotions of labor and delivery, or the sweet wonder of those first newborn days, I’m always looking for the moments of magic, laughter, and connection.

Questions? I Have Answers:

  • You can book as early as you’d like, but I’d encourage you to consider booking around your second trimester.

  • I will typically go on-call starting around 38 weeks until your baby arrives. This means I keep my schedule pretty open and flexible during those weeks. It also means you can reach my 24/7 during this time.

  • Given the nature of labor and delivery, I like to stay pretty close to home which for me means South Portland. Mercy, Maine Medical Center, and Mid Coast Hospital are all within my travel range. I am also available to document home births in the greater Portland area as well.

  • As long as the hospital permits photographer in the OR, I will happily document your cesarean. Some operating rooms have a space called an observation room or viewing gallery where they will allow a photographer to take pictures from. If this isn’t an option, I will be there documenting your labor up until you C-section and I will be there when you’re moved to recovery.

  • I have a flash with me, but the last thing I want to be is disruptive to your labor experience. I’ll use the available light in the room and will only use flash when absolutely necessary.

  • Yes! Birth photography is an investment, so I’m happy to create a monthly payment plan with you if that would be helpful.
